STCW Seafarer Security Awareness Level 3

On successful completion of the course, you will be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of:

• The meaning and consequential requirements of different security levels.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures and contingency plans.
• Recognition and detection of weapons, dangerous substances and devices.
• Recognition, on a non-discriminatory basis, of characteristics and behavioural patterns of persons who are likely to threaten security.
• Techniques to circumvent security measures.

Topic 3: Emergency Procedure and Contingency Plans
Topic 4: Threat Recognition and Response

Please note that your STCW certificate may take up to two weeks to be issued to you upon successfully completing the course.

A passport photo must be emailed or provided to the Maritime Administrator prior to the commencement of this course.

What do I have to do to complete the course?

You will be required to complete two tests with a 100% pass mark, and complete two written assessments.

How long to I have to complete the course?

You will be given a minimum of one months access to the course material online. As this is a self-paced course, time to complete the course varies between students.
