Learn a variety of different methods to help you identify native plants.
Develop practical skills in identifying native plants in Aotearoa New Zealand using identification keys and a range of field-based techniques. You will learn how to collect representative plant specimens, record accurate field notes, and apply reliable identification methods used in conservation and ecological contexts.
You will explore Mātauranga Māori practices relating to selected plant species within the local rohe, helping build a broader understanding of plants and their significance in Aotearoa.
