This course will investigate the history and culture of wine; traditional viticulture and winemaking practices, the old world today, international wine styles, new world wine styles, regulations, quality designations and regionalism. Students will use sensory evaluation to identify significant international wine styles and correlate the production techniques and viticultural practices that have contributed to these styles.
