Student Service Fee
What is the SSF?
The SSF is a non-tuition fee charged to NMIT students based on their study load (credits). It helps fund student support services and activities as outlined by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC), ensuring services meet the needs of all learners while complying with government guidelines.
SSF for 2027
Following consultation with our learners, the 2027 fee for a full-time student at NMIT is a maximum of $300, inclusive of GST (indicative). Part-time students pay a proportion of this fee based on the number of credits they are studying, and the fee may vary depending on their course selection. The fee is subject to annual review, and NMIT actively consults students on the fee amount and how funds are allocated. We also report on the use of the fee in our annual report.
