Time lapse Carpentry Apprentice Challenge 2016 - Top of the South

The Top of the South regional challenge was held at the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT). This year all the apprentices taking part were NMIT Managed Apprentices. The apprentices were given the plans to a children's playhouse four days before the event and then on the day, they were required to build it to the plans. This time lapse was taken as the apprentices built the playhouses over the day. The results were very close. Wade Puklowski, an apprentice with Coman Construction, took the win by just five points. He will have the opportunity to compete in the national final.

The playhouses will be donated to childcare providers.
